life as I see it

A NEW DAY A NEW ERA

The cool blast of air on my face felt refreshing  as I stepped outside,  a quick hug to myself to keep warm before the short walk to the barn.  The first snowfall of the season is always the prettiest and with some leaves still holding onto their parents this was no exception.   The early hour was also creating a delicate purple in the sky to the west and while my horses munched down their breakfast I grabbed my camera.  I love color and whenever I see it in its natural state I want to stop and bask in its glow.  Soak it in and store it up for those days when gray rules.

Interestingly enough, this day (10/28/11) is, according to Carl Calleman, the final day of the Mayan calender!   If you put any stock in this astrology stuff then this day marks the end of an era.  Pretty colors for a pretty cool day.

Peace,

Amy
