ROMANESCO
Animal, vegetable, or mineral? That is what I asked myself when these gorgeous creatures came through the washing station at Pleasant Valley Farm. The design and symmetry are intricately wrapped around a cone shaped head. Do you eat it? You can eat it but most people use them for decorating their table was the response. Needless to say, I was instantly smitten and although I have tasted one I prefer to look and wonder at creation. If you need a conversation starter for your Thanksgiving table pick one up at your local farmer’s market. FYI – it’s a cross between broccoli and cauliflower. Enjoy!
Peace,
Amy
