                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Welcome, my name is Amy.   I reside in rural upstate New York far from the sea.  My home is on a hilltop covered by trees, black locusts, whose roots grow deep and whose wood is hard and strong.  I am like a locust and this has been my home for most of my 48 years.   The winds are shifting and loosening my roots.  I hear the sea calling, almost time now to say farewell to the sheltering arms of my locust friends and welcome the empty, open horizon of sea and sky as my new home.
